These Terms of Service govern your use of the Preptera mobile application operated by Preptera, LLC. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Introduction By accessing the Preptera app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. Preptera provides tools for inventory tracking, receipt processing, and meal generation. Since we do not require account creation, your data is managed on your individual device.

2. Local Data & Device Access Preptera does not require a user account. Your inventory data and meal plans are stored locally on your device. It is your responsibility to back up your device data. We are not responsible for the loss of information if the app is deleted or your device is lost.

3. Premium Subscriptions Preptera offers a Premium Tier. Purchases and subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID or Google Play Account rather than a Preptera-specific login. All billing and cancellations are handled exclusively through the respective App Store. We cannot manually cancel or refund subscriptions on your behalf.

4. Receipt Processing You may upload photos of grocery receipts to populate your digital pantry. These images are processed via a Cloud API to extract text. These images are processed ephemerally and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You are responsible for the images you upload.

5. App Usage & Food Safety Preptera is an organizational tool. We do not guarantee the accuracy of receipt scanning or meal suggestions. You must manually verify expiration dates and food quality. Always follow standard food safety guidelines when preparing meals.

6. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Preptera LLC shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to food-borne illness, kitchen accidents, or device-related data loss, arising from your use of the app.

7. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of South Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in South Carolina.
